"Hammer
stroke by hammer stroke, timelessly shaping and
chasing. Working in metals, I can find the pleasure
of integrating my hands, heart, head and spirit.
Fifteen years ago I discovered my passion for copper
repousse in my native country of Chile. I find it
the perfect medium for me, because it requires my
total involvement, and while I am shaping it, it is
teaching and surprising me.
With this new work, I have been thinking about
things that are everyday, maybe going unnoticed, but
that are startlingly beautiful.
Just look a little closer.
