"The basic technique that I have used in the 30 years I have been a goldsmith is a process  known as lost-wax casting. Fabrication, when needed, is done afterwards. The goal of my designs is to be fluid rather than sharp edged. To be water rather than rock. Metal artists have the unique opportunity to use some of our planet's most beautiful resources as the medium to artistic expression. As a goldsmith, this privilege is magnified. It is my endeavor to incorporate the most basic materials along with some of the most rare. To honor wood as much as diamond. To place value on all of Earth's treasures."

As a goldsmith and gemologist, Eric Heffelfinger studied jewelry design at the University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of Minnesota. He received his degree in diamonds from the Gemological Institute of America. His work is in numerous private and corporate collections.
